Clutter

These past couple weeks have been rather difficult for me. See I'm a person that likes everything in place. It's very hard for me to fully function if it's not somewhat picked up. I'm not super clean (my mom and Adam can attest to that), but I have a hard time with clutter and stuff on the floor. It just throws me off balance. We are currently doing some updating on our kitchen. We did some painting, put up a backsplash, and we are putting in a new floor right now so my usual everything in its place house is a disaster. I need to give credit where credit is due to my wonderful husband who is doing such a fantastic job on everything. It's just taking a lot longer with a lot more late nights then we anticipated.

I was thinking about how if clutter around me keeps me from functioning to my fullest potential, then what about clutter in my heart? What kind of clutter do I have in my heart, and how is it affecting me? Even as I'm writing this, God is revealing to me things I need to get rid of in my heart. There are lots of them. I know these things are preventing me from getting closer to God, truely experiencing His love and grace, and being the servant He has called me to be.

Soon, I will be able to get my house back to normal, but I can start geting rid of clutter in my heart right now. God, you work through many myserious ways. I had no intentions of even writing a post today! Praise the Lord!

On a lighter note,

Griffin is just pure muscle! This little man is CONSTANTLY moving. He is either kicking, rolling over, trying to crawl, or curiously searching the room for something new to look at. He makes me tired just watching him. No wonder he eats so often! He loves playing with his toys, making noises, going for walks, and watching cars drive by.

I'm just a couple more pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight! Yay! I'm planning on running the 10k in the Fargo Marathon, but my training is not going very well and that's my own fault.

Last weekend my parents came down for a nice visit and we were able to take Griffin to the park for the first time and he loved being on the swing! This weekend we are going to the farm to celebrate Easter and see everyone out there!

That's all for now!
