We, and by we I really mean me, only have one week until we have to be ready for Christmas and our 6 day trek to see family! That means laundry needs to be done, bags need to be packed, presents need to be wrapped, and Christmas cookies need to be baked. Okay let's face it, I'm not going to stress out because I love Christmas! I've gotten all the presents wrapped (I'm not as good as Aunt Jan, but I do enjoy it!) and I'm going to go in a baking frenzy starting on Sunday! I think this year I'm going to bake chocolate drop cookies, peanut butter kiss cookies, fudge, and gingersnaps with my mom when we get to Bismarck! If I have time I would love to bake a pumpkin cheesecake that Adam and I tested out this week that is fantastic!
As I'm busy getting ready for the season, I need to remember the real reason why we are celebrating, and no it's not because I get to bake. God has sent his son, Jesus Christ, into our sinful world to live a perfect life and die for us. There has been no greater gift given. That certainly is a reason to celebrate! I am so thankful that we are able to celebrate Christmas in this country without persecution. I hope you get a chance this Christmas season to remember why we celebrate!
Merry Christmas and thanks for reading!

To Sleep or not to Sleep?
Griffin decides to keep my life very exciting every night. When is he going to wake up? 1:00? 2:00? 3:00? He likes to keep me guessing. Well last night the little stinker didn't decide to fall asleep until midnight, BUT he didn't wake up until 4:30. That's right, I got four and a half whole hours of sleep in a row! Woo hoo! THEN, he decided to sleep until 8:45! I was shocked! Thanks Griffin!
